Welcome to our new postdoc Agnieszka Stańczak, who will be coming to us in September from the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (IOCB) at the Czech Academy of Sciences! Agnieszka received her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Biotechnology from Silesian University of Technology in Poland and her PhD from Charles University in Prague working in Prof. Lubomir Rulíšek’s group at the IOCB.
In addition, she completed Erasmus programs working with Prof. Sam De Visser at the University of Manchester, and Prof. Michael Bühl at the University of St Andrews. Agnieszka brings an extensive skillset in modeling metalloenzymes and working closely with experimentalists, most recently working with a coupled binuclear copper site in tyrosinase in collaboration with Prof. Solomon’s group.
