Summer is off to a busy start in the Reinhardt Lab!
- Clorice, Agnieszka, and Mitch attended the 2026 Penn State Bioinorganic Workshop, where Clorice (supported by Agnieszka) co-taught a 4 hour computational workshop on computational chemistry for bioinorganic systems with Prof. Sayfutyarova from Penn State. Clorice and Elvira overlapped in the Hammes-Schiffer Lab, so it was a great reunion.

- Agnieszka was selected to give a short talk on her work modeling hemeythrin-like protein. Congrats Agnieszka!
- Morgan is off to the Metallocofactors GRS and GRC in Portland Maine to present her work modeling lanthanide dependent methanol dehydrogenase. Congratulations Morgan on invited talks in both meetings!
- Marcos Ngo (UG, Class of 2026), has accepted a post-baccaulareate position with Prof. Kern at Scripps. Congratulations Marcos!
- Justin Barrer and del cruser will be joining us as undergraduate research assistants this summer. Welcome!
- Clorice’s research and lab was highlighted in a structure article https://www.cell.com/structure/fulltext/S0969-2126(26)00113-9
- Clorice got a few grants submitted, and one recommended for funding (but stayed tuned for official announcement, never count your chickens before they hatch!)
